These cereals bars are always a huge hit, grab them on the go or devour them all in one sitting! They are insanely easy to make and a great recipe to do with kids
Ingredients
- 225g Gluten-free Porridge Oats
- 25g Puffed Rice
- 90g Dairy-free Chocolate Chips
- 65g Brown Sugar
- 120g Margarine (ensure it is free of allergens)
- 50g Golden Syrup
- 35g Treacle/Molasses
- 1/2 tsp vanilla Essence
Utensils
- Large Bowl
- 20x20cm Baking Tin, greased and lined with parchment paper
Method
- Heat the oven to 180°C
- Add all the ingredients and mix until fully combined. It will look fairly dry but do not worry!
- Put the mixture into the tin and press it down very firmly
- Bake for 18-20 minutes
- Leave it to cool for 10 minutes and then score it into bars but allow it to cool completely before you actually cut it fully
- It can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days, but mine have never lasted that long before being eaten!
